Double Bass & Bass Guitar

Although studying on the classical/orchestral course at the Royal Academy of Music, Phil  has always has an interest in a wide range of musical styles including Jazz, Theatre, Pop and 'world music'.

He has spent over 20 year performing with professional and amateur orchestras, chamber groups, jazz ensembles, cabaret and professional theatre shows both in London's West End and across the UK on tour.

He has also worked abroad on several occasions in a variety of genres.

Since school Phil has enjoyed playing in a variety of groups on bass guitar, and has in fact become a bit of a collector of vintage and unusual instruments (much to his wife's dismay!). He uses both 4 and 5 string instruments as well as fretless. He is also a long time Jaco Pastorius fan.
